Mod Cloth - Palette on Parade Dress

All Items can be found on Mod Cloth. Palette on Parade Dress Counterclockwise: Charter School Cardigan | Cambridge Upwardly mobile Satchel | Dazzling Modifier Ring SetShimmer in the City Flat | On the Bow Bracelet | Oh Why Knot? Earrings

I was contacted by +ModCloth to create an outfit around their Palette on Parade Dress using up to 7 items on their site. This dress is great for spring and summer. I thought of wearing this outfit to a day trip to the museum. Since the dress is so colorful I kept most of my other items simple with adding pops of color with my bag and bracelet. I would have to say my 3 favorite items from this set are the flats, bag and bracelet, one thing about me I love bows!!!

Asymmetric

Jacket +H&M | T-Shirt +Forever 21 | Jeans Forever 21 | Heels Zara | Turban Vintage | Bag +Goodwill | Necklaces Made by Me | Coin Bracelet Vintage | Slim Cuffs Bag Tazo

Yesterday I had to prepare for my shoot today. I wanted to be comfortable and still chic. I knew I was going to wear a turban, so I built my outfit around that. It was a bit chilly today so I opted for my asymmetrical jacket, it kept me warm throughout the day. I didn't want to get too hot during the day so I opted for a t-shirt in the same shade as one of the colors in the turban. I played up my accessories a bit especially since I wasn't wearing earrings. Threw on my grey heels and it was time to start my day.

Denim & a Sweater

Sweater Vintage axiom | Jean Shirt Lee | Jeans Mynk Hauteur | Heels Christian Siriano for Payless | Bag Goodwill | Bow Gifted from Fro Bands | Necklace Zara | Earrings Vintage | Belt Vintage

My apologies for being MIA the last few days. I was revamping the blog layout and working. Today was a relaxing day I had to do some work so I went to my cousin's house to complete it. It was a bit chilly today so I wanted to be warm as I decided to take the train today as an added adventure lol. I wanted to wear denim on denim and added this men's sweater as an extra layer of warmth. When I wear denim on denim I always make sure there's a huge contrast in the shades to prevent it from looking like I tried to match the denim exactly. It's a small pet peeve of mine that maybe I should get out of lol. Like you may have seen in How to Style: Men's Shirt post I always belt this top as it is quite ovesized for me. I opted today for a navy belt which is skinnier in the front than it is in the back. It also has an added bit of detailing in the back.

White

Sweater Vintage | Shorts +Forever 21 | Flats H&M | Necklace H&M | Bangles H&M | Bracelet Tiffany & Co | Ring H&M | Midi Rings DIY | Earrings Forever 21 | Bag Vintage

Today I went to Venice beach with my dad and stepmom. There was a bit of a breeze so I wore a sweater. I also didn't want to be too covered up for the winter so I wore my cut off shorts I made from a pair of Forever 21 pants. I wanted a soft pop of color so I went with my peach flats and a neutral bag.
