Soho with The New Black

I went to the Tadashi Shoji show at Lincoln Center and the Big Park show near central park. Today I opted for a more minimal monochromatic look. I found this cocoon coat at +Urban Outfitters for only $20. I can't wait to transition it to spring. I went for al black underneath for a more chic look. I layered for the gods since this coat isn't the thickest. I went for a simple LBD that has the longest sleeves ever which is the best since I have a really long arms and its a really warm sweater material. Camel Coat in the Snow

As a woman who has NEVER lived where it snows, I've had a "I could never" attitude about it. Mainly just hearing the horror stories of walking or driving in the snow. Moving to the east coast in the winter, clearly I wasn't going to escape the snow. This was my first time I've been excited to be in the snow. Living here I realized it's really not that bad. Needless to say it was pretty cold outside today. I made sure to layer up with my camel coat my mom sent me, my H&M sweater and long sleeve denim shirt. I opted for my suede booties and some printed socks to add an extra element to my outfit. And as usual I accessorized with layers of gold jewelry.

Today is another beautiful day in DC. I'm really enjoying this break in weather from NY. It's cold but not put on 5 layers cold lol. I decided to do a play on denim on denim and switch it up to grey jeans. I added one of my favorite pieces of the season, my black H&M oversized cardigan and Ecote charcoal suede booties and I was ready to go. I got this Ecote bag when I got my boots at urban Outfitters for only $20. The bag was a must as the handle on my bag broke as I was paying for the boots :(. Any who, its perfect to carry everything, including my laptop. 

Sweater Weather

It's refreshing not to have to wear 5 layers out of the house lol. I have to stay so bundled in NY and i'm getting a bit spoiled in DC and don't want to leave. Today I paired my oversized beige and black sweater with my black open cardigan. I got the beige sweater at the H&M after Christmas sale, BOGO and ir is a medium. I've noticed a lot of my winter clothes are oversized lol. Paired it with one of my best investments of the season, this open cardigan and an infinity scarf I was gifted by Media Playground PR.  This scarf is also an everyday in New York. I brought minimal jewelry with me to DC so I layered up my arms with my watch and various bracelets. What's your favorite staple item this season?
