Shape wear as Outerwear

This outfit started with this skirt which is actually shape wear from a company called Jewltoned. The shape wear comes in a variety of colors just not nude tones. It takes the boring out of shape wear and now I won't be embarrassed if it shows. I was gifted this shape wear at a Blogger's Night Out I hosted a few weeks back. I was able to meet the designer and she told me all about the product. I love a high waist so I chose this skirt. I actually put it on under my skirt the night of the event it matched my dress perfectly. 

When I put the skirt on today I felt a bit "Pretty Womanish." Channeling Julia Roberts usually is a great idea but I didn't want to look like a hooker all day lol. So I threw on this pastel moto jacket to take the look a bit more rocker chic. Silver accessories and my new vintage clutch and I was ready to go. This skirt will definitely be worn as shape wear and as a skirt.

The other day it was a beautiful day and I had a few meetings and pulls to do. I wore this skater dress I've had for years from Forever 21. I always feel like a ballerina in this dress lol. I wanted to keep my outfit more monotone and bring in pops of colors with my accessories. I love this bag that I got from a high end thrift store in Dallas a few years ago with my mom. I also thought these t-strap sandals were a perfect silhouette to compliment this dress. I finished my outfit off with a few silver accessories.

I had church today and it was amazing. I spent part of my afternoon hanging out with my family. All in all, "Today was a good day." My outfit started with an urge to wear pastels lol. I started with my sequin skirt, added my light blue top and finished the look with my pink sweater and heels. I love this skirt, I originally got it for a shoot ad decided to keep it and it was on sale at +H&M. I love these +Badgley Mischka heels, I found them at +Nordstrom on sale.
