Let's talk about the star of this outfit, the shorts. I bought these shorts at +Crossroads Trading Co. before I left for NY for fashion week in September. So needless to say I've had these for 6 months and this is the first time I've worn them. As with most of my unique thrift finds I fell in love with these shorts as soon as I put them on. I love the color and the spike detailing down the side. They're Leather. They're Vintage. They're Great.
To wear shorts in the winter, one must layer, layer and layer some more. Today I layered my nike leggings with a pair of Kushyfoot tights and my Forever 21 socks. And of course on top I layered my 3/4 sleeve Zara sweater with a long sweater from +H&M and my staple winter coat. Would you rock shorts this winter? And if so how? Comment below.

Day 5 of New York Fashion Week was a great day. The day started off with our first show, Artistix put on by Redlight PR. The show was filled with prints, leather accents, denim and the a body painted finale. The night ended with a show featuring several designers. I was invited by Elliot Carlyle to see his client Rinat Brodach. The show was great, I loved her silk pieces and her draping was impeccable.
This past Sunday I also had the pleasure to support a great friend and big sis of mine, Tieko Nejon. She launched her fabulous line, Muse of June, all handmade by her. The line includes hand dyed coverups, hand dyed wood necklaces and hand etched and cut necklaces, cuffs and bracelets. My favorites were the middle finger cuff and the wood bead choker necklaces. I'm still deciding which color I love the best, debating between blue and yellow. The blue went really well with this dress so I have big decisions to make lol. Tieko is such a lovely spirit and her collection truly is a representation of everything I know her to be. I'm already excited for the next gathering. Love you Tieko.
