Power Brunch LA

Dress Vintage from Wasteland | Bag Nila Anthony | Heels Cathy Jean | Necklace Zara | Coin Bracelet Vintage | Cuffs Bag Tazo

This past Sunday I had the pleasure to attend the Power Brunch LA organized by the fabulous Dunnie O. I was able to enjoy the event my my beautiful friend Vic of Vic Styles. We enjoyed the vendors at the event from natural hair care companies to jewelry and fashion companies. The brunch included a desert bar and complimentary mimosas. The brunch buffet included three of my favorites, red velvet pancakes, french toast and of course BACON. One thing I didn't expect was a delicious quiche, I've been trying to get some quiche for the longest, clearly not trying that hard, but it was a great surprise. All in all I had a great time at the brunch, you can't be good food mixed with good friends.

Asymmetric

Jacket +H&M | T-Shirt +Forever 21 | Jeans Forever 21 | Heels Zara | Turban Vintage | Bag +Goodwill | Necklaces Made by Me | Coin Bracelet Vintage | Slim Cuffs Bag Tazo

Yesterday I had to prepare for my shoot today. I wanted to be comfortable and still chic. I knew I was going to wear a turban, so I built my outfit around that. It was a bit chilly today so I opted for my asymmetrical jacket, it kept me warm throughout the day. I didn't want to get too hot during the day so I opted for a t-shirt in the same shade as one of the colors in the turban. I played up my accessories a bit especially since I wasn't wearing earrings. Threw on my grey heels and it was time to start my day.

You Look Like a Giraffe :)

So I have a friend that early on in our friendship he greeted me one day with "you look like a giraffe", and I wasn't even wearing this dress. lol So when I saw this dress I had to get it for his comment but also mainly because giraffes are my favorite animal. I bought this maxi dress on sale at H&M over the summer. (This dress is about a size or two bigger than what i would normally purchase from H&M) I love how the dress is higher in the front than in the back, being tall maxi dresses are not always your friend. Anyways I spent some time out at my dads house and wanted something easy to throw on. I decided to layer to of my favorite DIY necklaces and keep the rest of my jewelry in the same tone.

Tribal Harem

Today was another beautiful day in LA. I wanted to wear something lightweight so I wouldn't get too hot. I thought about my Gypsy Junkies jumpsuit, tried it on and thought "mehhh." Well then I eyed my black and white printed tank and i thought how could I pair this with that. I converted my jumpsuit into harem pants. I added my Jessica Simpson gladiator heels and kept my jewelry in an antique gold/brass.
